The Wonders of Christmas...

Have you felt it...the wonders of Christmas? Have you anticipated Christmas like you did when you were a child? Have you been totally mesmerized by the smallest of details? Have you written your Dear Santa letter? Do you believe? Do you still believe in the wonders of Christmas?

I believe! My mom told us that when you stop believing all you get for Christmas is underwear! Usually I can sit and look at the tree sparkling and glowing and get lost in my thoughts looking at the ornaments. Most of them have meaning.
We lost my sweet grandmother this year and I have not anticipated the season as much this year. It is just not the same without her.

I received an anonymous email today which I could not manage to publish. I thought it too beautiful not to share. I copied it and it is as follows:

"For me, Christmas is a time of release,
washing away the stains of anger, envy,
frustration, sorrow.

It works its magic on me, not as I gaze at
the jeweled lights and sparkling baubles on the Christmas tree, but as I speed home on an
empty highway through a cold and rainy night. The beacons of golden reflectors unfailingly flame up, one by one, in the headlights.
I like to think it is their mission to guide
me out of the forlorn mist, to deliver me, safe, upon the threshold of a fresh, unsullied year."

I'll never stop believing in the magic of Christmas. In spite of all the stress I put on myself, deep down I love it. I wouldn't do what I do if I didn't. The memories I carry and hopefully are making, are precious. And through the most perfect gift of salvation from God, the hope of seeing those who made so many of my memories again-AWESOME! Debbie
