Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

"Mothers hold their children's hand
for a short time,
but their hearts forever."
This is my favorite photo of Mom and me!

My Mom is one tough lady.
She is a "steel magnolia".

She is a woman of character
and a woman of faith.

I am ever grateful that she gave me
my sense of humor
and spark of creativity.

I am blessed that she taught me
important life lessons:
All people are created equal.
Treat everyone with respect.
Don't judge a book by its cover.
Hard work is honest work.
Always tell the truth.

By example, Mom taught me tenacity.
She hasn't always had an easy life,
yet she has persevered.

Mom survived...
the depression...
attending thirteen different schools...
working hard her entire life...
the death of her best friend, her husband...
living without the love of her life
for the last 28 years...
the death of two brothers and four sisters...
and cancer.

And the most difficult thing she has survived...
me.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, MOM!
I Love You!

I love how you're pointing to yourself in the photo as if to say, "Hey, it's all about me, folks!"

It's a great photo, and you were a total doll!
