On The Road Again

Texas is a really large state. Texas is 773 miles wide and 790 miles tall.  Any trip in Texas turns into a road trip. Lurch and I have had a buttload of fun road trips.  But our most fun road trip is waiting for us just a couple of months down the road.

After years and years of leading the stereotypical middle-class, productive citizen, make-a-good-future-for-your kids life, we are throwing our hands up in the air and breaking free. We have made the deal with the real estate agent. The house goes on the market in a couple of weeks. We are selling everything we own, buying a travel trailer and hitting the road.

Life the last five years has been filled with hospitals, doctors and bills, bills bills. Life has become mundane. Comfortable but mundane. Joy has been replaced with complacency. Who am I? Why am I here? Where did I leave Malisa?

So the future is exciting. We have committed to trying life on the road for a year. Who knows where it may lead? This is what we know. We know that we will be living on the beach, in the mountains or wherever we want to live. We will be able to see the grandkids  and leave the grandkids. We know that every day will be a new day full of opportunities. And who knows...we might find Malisa along the way.

With hope in our hearts, join Willie, Lurch and Malisa as we go...
