Cobwebs

I am always looking for that "out of the way" spot that offers unique finds and great prices!

I am going to share one of my favorite spots with you---COBWEBS---in Archer City, Texas.

Where is Archer City? It is located about 30 minutes south of Wichita Falls and about 1.5 hours

west of Fort Worth.Archer City is the hometown of favoriteTexas writer and Pulitzer Prize winner, Larry McMurtry. For the younger generation, Larry McMurtry is the father of famous Texas musician, James McMurtry! Archer City is located in the midst of oil fields and cattle ranches and not much else. Archer City was the filming site for The Last Picture Show and Texasville.I visited Cobwebs this weekend---and yes, I did pick up a few things!

Christmas decorations have not gone up yet, because in this part of the country, like white shoesafter Labor Day, it is not acceptable to decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving!
