Yesterday, the cardiologist,
the doctor making the call,
told us we would go home today.
We were ready...
bags packed...
sitting on the edge of the bed...
for hours!
We had cancelled our meals
with the cafeteria...
had our life savings ready
to pay for the remainder of parking fees...
waiting patiently for
the cardiologist.
When he finally showed up,
it was GOOD NEWS...
we were going home!
Yeah, baby...
a soft mattress tonight...
no interruptions every five minutes
to check vitals...
no intercom blaring all night...
no more tubes, needles or beeping monitors!
I am telling you that
we were "on point"...
headed in the direction of the exit!
Then...
the newest doctor on the team said...
"NOT SO FAST"!
At 3:00 we were told
"MAYBE TOMORROW"
I think Lurch said it best...
