Day 60...The More Things Change...

The more things change...
the more they stay the same.

I love this old European photo.
Timeless, isn't it?
That could be a photo
from a current photo shoot!

What year do you think this was?
1920's?
1930's?
1940's?

Painted white furniture has come
full circle, hasn't it?

Wish I had that mirror!

I think that it's from the '20's because of the extremely large electrical cord traversing the wall. That's not new!

Also, when I clicked on the photo and got the large image, I was surprised to see that it's really quite a shoddy bedroom, where somebody has tried to do the most with what they had. The furniture is rather cobbled together - and the vanity isn't really a vanity, but rather a rather shabby storage box painted white.

I like the lady who put all this together!

I'm with Tristan. I think the low stature of the vanity speaks to the 20's. The mirror is divine. ~Mindy

Coty powder has been around since the turn of the century, but looking at the dresser accessories (very art deco) I'd guess late 20's, early 30's. So many of the old '30s movies always had white interiors (again with the art deco). I remember reading somewhere that when iron beds became the rage, a lot of furniture was painted to match.
