The Attack Is On!

We all know that a woman's work
is never done!
Lurch and I returned home yesterday...
to a mess!
When I ran out of this house three weeks ago
to follow the ambulance to the hospital,
I wasn't thinking about the trash
in the kitchen garbage can...
or the clothes in the washer...
or the dirty dishes in the sink...
or the refrigerator that needed to be emptied...
or the lawn that needed mowing...
well, you get the idea.

All I was worried about was Lurch.

Three weeks later,
it's way past time to empty that trash...
wash, wash and rewash those clothes...
bleach those dishes...
"power wash" that refrigerator...
machete my way through the front lawn...
well, you get the idea.

And I can do it all while celebrating that
Lurch is home and getting healthier every day!

So the attack is on!

I have so many blogs to catch up on...
so many friends to thank...
so many art projects to complete!

And I can do it all while celebrating that
Lurch is home and getting healthier every day!

And speaking of attacks...
guess what is back?

MOSQUITOS!
Ah, yes, warm weather and Texas!

If the number and size of these early mosquitos
is a sign of things to come this summer...

they will be killers!

so glad that you're both back home - and that Lurch is doing so much better.

LOL - three week old garbage must have been a real welcome home gift!

I'm very glad to hear you're back and life is normalizing. I remember my wife's postheart-surgery weeks very well. It took a long time for us to feel like we were back in sync with reality. I'm not we sure we're there yet, actually. Be sure to relax and do things that help you feel like yourself. And don't get all your blood drained by a giant mosquito.

Just get out the leaf blower and it will be clean in a flash. You got more important things to do...like loving that man of yours and smiling.
