Dove Hunting in Texas

I know that some of you may be shocked
that this post is about hunting.

Do I agree with the sport of hunting?
No.

However, being raised in Texas makes
many members of my family hunters.

Here are some photos of the grandkids
on a dove hunt with their Daddy last weekend.

Tango is making sure that the
dove is dead...
really, really dead.
Nice looking double barrel shotgun, Tango!

Madisyn carried her "pretty little bird"
around for hours.
She even tried putting a
band-aid on its wing.
That is so sweet...
and so, so sad.

Cash was just working on trying
to stand up...
so he could get in on the action!

Most of my readers from Texas
will totally understand these photos.

If you are opposed to hunting, like I am,
just look at my cute babies!

Oh, that's a sad story about Madisyn carrying around the dead bird. Truly. But she's a Texan, so she'll get used to it. She may even grow up to hunt wild animals from helicopters and then become president. That's what makes America great. And depressing.
