TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY RED RAIDERS!

Two bits...

Four bits...
Six bits...

A dollar...

All for the RAIDERS...

Stand up...

And holler!

GO...FIGHT...WIN!

Texas Tech Fight Song
Fight, Raiders, Fight! Fight, Raiders, Fight!
Fight for the school we love so dearly.
We'll hit'em high, we'll hit'em low.
We'll push the ball across the goal,
Tech, Fight! Fight!
We'll praise your name, boost you to fame.
Fight for the Scarlet and Black
We will hit'em, we will wreck'em.
Hit'em! Wreck'em, Texas Tech!
And the Victory Bells will ring out.

Raiders, kick ya some Ole Miss ass...
And bring us home some cotton!

Since we are all friends here...

Elena(Pastusek)...thanks for loaning me your beautiful pic of your beautiful kids and my beautiful grandkids!

Lulu and Laurie...I am a football FREAKAZOID! Both of my sons played and my husband played college ball. At one time, I had a goal to be the first Big 12 woman football referee, but then I figured out how much they have to run! Poo...the glass would keep falling out of my glass! Laurie, thanks for getting your Guns Up for me! Tonight just wasn't our night! When I requested that they bring home the cotton, I didn't mean a big old maxi pad!

Debbie (TnT)...okay, you are scaring me! How the heck did you know about our tortilla wraps? I just had one too! You evidently know a little about Tech...care to spill the beans? Of course, all the pics were of my family, but since you commented on the last one...let me point out that the young man with the red shirt holding the big bell is my youngest son...he was a Saddle Tramp! Does that mean anything to you, Ms. CIA?

Thank you all for your support! Sad ending for a great year. What sports announcers never said...but we know (because my daughter-in-law, Elena, did it)...the Tech quarterback had played the last two games with a broken throwing hand and Elena and his surgeon put several pins in his hand a month ago!

Love you all!

Malisa...and, by the way, Will Rogers did not fall off his horse when I walked by his statue upon graduation...

Wow! I stumbled across your blog and was stopped cold by Will Rogers and his horse. I graduated from TTU in '83 and no, Will didn't get off of his horse to shake my hand either! wink wink I was a Raider Recruiter and worked closely with the Saddle Tramps. I think I even dated a couple! Do come by and say hello. I grew up in Palo Pinto County, but live in Colorado now.

Best to you in 2009,
Judy

It sure does! I am very impressed with your son and his parents. A good detective never shares her sources. Be scared, be very scared! Tn'T

Well....of course you know who I am a fan of???Could it be "GO TIGERS"!!! Nothing like an LSU fan...but, of course my kids are Aggies. And that is a whole different story...I swear they were brain washed while they were there!

(PS...I don't remember you email address so that I can email you that info you wanted.)

I loved your post, made me think of my mom, a die hard Texan stuck in California most of her life! I snagged a recipe for a blackeyed pea casserole off one of your blogs listed on the side. Can't wait to try it. Although my mom never used the canned variety, I think I will! Happy New Year, Sue

One of the girls I work with, got her car detailed after a TT win against UT, The doctor we work with said they could not win, She took that bet.{ Her son and her money go to TT} The doctor said he would wash her car if they won, we knew that was not going to happen.

I'm here to offer my condolences.

Well, don't ever bet against an SEC Team!
Glad we didn't have to play Ole Miss. Sorry for the Raiders...I root for them when SEC isn't the other team (unless it's FLORIDA--eeewwww hate them).
Go Dawgs! ox lulu
