Pop Test!

Okay, kids...
this is a different kind
of pop test...
no multiple choice answers!

I give you the photo
and the question...
you give me the answer!

Break the seal on your
test booklet
and let's begin!

What has sparked the look
in Madisyn's eyes?

No, Sue, you can't answer...
that would be cheating!

A Special Remembrance...

My daughter-in-law, Amber,
had flown to spend Thanksgiving
with her grandfather
who was in the last stages
of his illness.
After several special days
with her grandfather,
she flew home to have
Thanksgiving dinner with us.
However, that dinner never happened
as she received the phone call informing her
that her grandfather had passed away.
Amber was very fortunate to have
a grandfather who loved her enough
to change her entire life...
and her grandfather was very fortunate
to have a granddaughter who
cared enough to walk with him
to the very end.

Different Faces, Different Backgrounds...One Family!

I have so many things
to be thankful for...
my family...
my health...
my friends.
The list could go on and on,
but I want to say how thankful
I am for my blogging friends.
We may be different in ways,
but we all share a part of each
other's hearts.
When I started blogging a year ago,
I had no idea that I would have such
deep connections to so many wonderful
friends!
So THANK YOU,
blogging buddies.
You have enriched my life
in ways I could have never imagined!
As you gather with family and friends
today and share your blessings,
please remember some of our
blogging friends in your prayers.

Please say a word of thanks to God for
the miraculous life of Bella,
daughter of blogger, Jenn, and
granddaughter of blogger, Trash Talk.

Please pray for our blogging buddy,
The Texas Woman, as she fights her
courageous battle with cancer.

Please pray for Lauri of 2Chippy's,
who just lost her mother.

Please pray for Woman In A Window
who needs peace and understanding
as she goes through major life changes.

Please pray for I Need a Martini Mom
as her family deals with a frightening
invasion of their family security and safety.

Please pray for my Lurch
who continues to undergo medical tests
and who is facing new surgeries.

If you haven't read Sue's Tuesday post
entitled Thanksgiving Thoughts
you need to go there now and read it!
This heart wrenching story of a family
will remind you of all you have to be
thankful for!
It will also warm your heart to know
that people are contacting Sue to help
this family with financial gifts of love.

Thank you, my blogging friends,
for always being there...
and for always sharing your heart!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Have You Bartered Today?

Recently, I have had two friends
approach me about bartering
my art works or collectibles
for their art works and antiques.
What fun...what fun!
Bartering gives one the chance to
acquire treasures
without the exchange of money!
What fun...what fun!
Why don't we do this more often?
During these tough financial times,
bartering is the answer!
This bee-u-ti-ful chippy cabinet
is my latest barter acquisition!
Isn't it wonderful?
See? Bartering can be fun!

Why Don't You Visit Anymore?

I was home all day long...
just waiting for you to
come visit!
Okay...
I was busy all day creating
and didn't have anything
to post about,
so I thought I would
show you a few shots
of where I spend my time.

No, I am sure those aren't
dust bunnies on the floor!
Just little fur gifts left by Sweetie!

I could have used your help
in building a fire,
because I was way too
busy today!

If you had visited today,
you could have put your
feet up and I would
have brought you a nice toddy!

I could have used your help
putting away the Autumn
and breaking out the
Christmas decorations
for the mantle!

I have been intending
the alphabetize my music...
you could have done that!

If I don't keep my dining table
set, the art supplies end
up right in the middle of it!
You have that problem?

I absolutely adore this painting!
It hangs over my dining table.

These beautiful religious works
of art catch the sunshine from
the windows.

I think I have pushed my luck
with the tour...
if you turn in any other
direction, you will notice
glitter and paint and glue
and fabric and...
well, you get the idea!

Any of this pottery catch your eye?
It will all be for sale next week
at Heritage Antiques or
on my new Etsy Store
which will launch next week!

Ya'll come back now,
ya hear?

Mary Lee finally put her foot down. She was not having Thanksgiving dinner at her in-law's house again! Her mother-in-law never let Mary Lee have any input on the Thanksgiving dinner.
