What I Did Over My Summer Vacation

Gosh, Jenny is pushy!
Pushy, pushy, pushy!

Just when we get used to
one format for Saturday Centus,
Jenny decides to push us
out of our comfort zone.

Pushy...
in a good way, of course!

So here is the "fast one"
she "pushed" on us this week...
this week's "prompt".

Exactly 100 words, first person, fact or fiction...What I did over my Summer Vacation. AND What I did over my Summer Vacation is the title of your essay not to be included in the 100 words! !

Oh, did I mention that you can
participate in Saturday Centus
anytime until next Saturday?

So here is my contribution

________________________________________________________

It was my summer of travel, food and fine living.

We started out in Italy. It was absolutely gorgeous! My favorite part of Italy was watching local chefs create the most delectable dishes!

After Italy, there was Paris. I have never seen a more romantic setting in my entire life! It was just me, my husband, Lurch, and the Eiffel Tower. The food was so rich and the wines were …

“Lurch, please change the channel. If I have to watch the Travel Channel, Fine Living Channel or Food TV one more day this summer, I am going to scream!”

So funny! Nice light moment to laugh at ourselves because the character captured some realistic feelings I have had!

Cute take on the prompt. I don't watch any of these shows but I imagine they'd inspire me to want to travel far and wide.

You had me going there for a moment! Great take on this rather restrictive prompt, but yo always do well.

Thanks..........cj

If you want to know more about my very true post, come see me at The Red Sweater.

That was funny and probably the only way I will see Italy or Paris....at least for now. I love your "bitch" button. That made me laugh. Thanks for stopping by my post.

This was too funny, and oh so true in our household too. But that is as close to traveling as we'll be getting for a while. Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments!

Ha! Your travel itinerary sounds exactly like mine. But I swear--and my wife swears with me--as bad as that sounds--that once the last kid is gone, we're going to Italy for a long vacation. I just hope I live that long.
