There are so many items I could have featured for the word craftsman. Zapp Hall Antique Show is full of craftsmen and their wonderful creations.
This display of antique sewing machines reminds me of the hard working craft which so many of our mothers and grandmothers performed routinely. Out of necessity. Out of sense of family. Out of love. Hours and hours spent crouched over this miraculous, little machine. Feet moving the pedal. Hands turning the wheel. Mothers and wives piecing and pinning with nimble fingers.
Thank you women everywhere. Even you poor little women slaving over machines in sweat shops. Your talent is appreciated. Such craftsmanship!
